Israeli tanks enter Rafah in south Gaza

TEHRAN, May 07 (MNA) – Armored vehicles and tanks of the Israeli regime entered the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip early on Tuesday, media outlets said.

Earlier, the Israeli military claimed it was delivering targeted strikes on Hamas facilities in the eastern part of Rafah, TASS reported.

Sounds of gunfire and explosions were heard in footage from the Rafah crossing on the border between Gaza and Egypt, shown by Egyptian TV channels.

Israel waged a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group carried out a historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
